Hush, Hush...Sweet Charlotte

Joan's scenes in Hush began filming in the spring of 1964. By mid-June, Joan was in the hospital, in protest of her treatment on the set.
By July, director Aldrich shut down production. In August, Joan was replaced in the role of "Miriam" by Olivia DeHavilland.
